Mar 09, 2017 Run CamTwist, open settings, set fps to 30 and video size to 1920×1080. You can go higher if your camera supports it. My Canon Rebel T6i does not, but it also didn't cost a few grand, so ya know. 1920×1080 @ 30 is much better than my webcam that can do 1280×720 @ 30 on a good day. Restart CamTwist. Connect camera to computer. Canon EOS Utility. Canon EOS Utility software is available free with Canon cameras and includes many features found in purchased software packages. The EOS Utility is a robust full featured software package that has been continually updated to add new features. Available for Windows and Mac. Select the “Software” tab; Find the “EOS Utility” and click the “SELECT” button; File description will open and click “I have read and Agree to terms” message once you agree the download button will turn red and you will be able to click and download the utility. On the right side top frame of the System Information window you should see the USB Device Tree. Inspect the rows on that tree looking for a device named 'Canon Digital Camera' (Canon will be in the name.) If you see this, then the computer DOES recognize that the camera is attached. I have a product shoot coming up, and am wanting to connect my Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT camera directly to my Titanium powerbook (OSX10.2.8) for image storage and on-the-fly image viewing while doing the studio shoot.
I have been told a lot of conflicting information about this: some say it's good that I haven't upgraded my OS, and I just need the right software, and others say it just can't be done with the Rebel XT camera.
Does anyone know about this? What software would I use to capture, or store the images?
Thanks in advance!
